When planning for your boudoir session, there’s a few things that you should have!

1. simple colored bra – can be white, black, red, or any other color, but you want it to be simple, it’s great for layering
2. lace or patterned bra – great on it’s own or paired with something else, and you’ll be able to wear it again.
3. panties that you’re comfortable in – many of the ones that come with lingerie you may not want to wear, so it’s always good to have more and it’s not like you’ll not ever wear them again!  You do not have to wear thongs or anything that you’re not comfortable in, many girls come with boyshorts and their photos turn out great!
4. babydoll/lingerie – I usually say 1-2 of these, they’re great to use and feel comfortable in, you don’t need a ton of these.
5. something personal – whether it be a necklace he gave you, his favorite button up shirt and tie, or your favorite athletic team, bring it along!
6. jewelry – I have some but think bold choices like strands of pearls and the like, the longer the better.
7. shoes – peep toes are good, bring 1 black and 1 crazy pair
8. sheets – I have these so no need to bring along but they make a great prop!

I often get emails asking what should girls bring to their sessions and I tell them to look in their closets for things they may have already to pair with some of the lingerie! Here’s a good list of things to look for in your closet:

1. cardigans or sweaters, lightweight is always good especially if you wear a lot of these it’ll tie in your personality with your session!
2. lace items: whether it’s lace around a tank top or a lace shirt, lace is always good!
3. sheer: this was a big trend this summer with layers and continues into the fall!  Anything sheer that you can layer is great and it will work in 2 outfits.
4. lightweight scarves, think pashmina types, thicker ones may work as well, it just really depends!
